Queens Committee

The Queens Committee of Transportation Alternatives was founded in 2007 in response to dramatic changes on the streets of western Queens. Our goal is to seize on the recent surge in bicycling, development and new park space to improve bicycling and walking conditions in Queens.

Our current areas of focus are developing a "Bike Station" at Queens Plaza, a neighborhood bike lane network, safer pedestrian crossings on Northern Boulevard and Queens Plaza and other small street improvements across West Queens.

The Committee meets monthly in West Queens, and holds various events across Queens. Contact Mike Heffron at heffronmike [at] gmail.com to join.
